Your voice, our stage.

For us, TEDx is not just about ideas worth spreading but also about exploring the future. After our main event last year we asked our community, ‘Whose voice is missing from the TEDxEastEnd stage?’ Far too often the voices of young people are sidelined from spaces where they should be welcomed and left out of conversations that concern them most of all. We wanted to make space for young voices on our stage – so we created the OPENx programme.

OPENx is an open auditions and training programme for young and emerging TEDx talent – we look for authentic voices and work with them to shape their idea into a TEDx talk. It is our way to open our stage and give prominence to amazing young people who want to share their experiences, ideas and vision of a society they want to live in.

After a hugely successful year we are very excited to be launching the next phase of OPENx in March 2017! If you are aged between 16 and 25, have an idea to share and want to get your voice heard, drop us a line at jannika@tedxeastend.com and we’ll soon be in touch with more information.
